Adoption / Foster Care Investigations / Background The need to find quality, safe, temporary or permanent homes for children who do not have a home for whatever reason is a concern that we take seriously. The health of a child’s physical and mental development is often a direct result of the environment they grow up in. The individuals charged with a child’s care hold the greatest influence over their eventual development. We offer our experience in investigations to agencies and/or potential parents who wish to adopt or provide a foster home. We can prepare an extensive background which can include detailed information on the potential foster/adoption parents and any others residing within the residence they inhabit. This may include character evaluations, criminal history, civil history, employment history and issues revealed in a background interview. We can exam and document any factors which could pose a threat to the safety of children and make recommendations to correct any noted deficiencies. This can also include speed surveys of adjoining street traffic, crime statistics, and neighbor interviews. We can provide fingerprint and DNA collection of potential foster / adoption parents and those who reside in the same home. This service will also be provided for the children in need of a home. We can arrange for the preservation / storage of the fingerprint and DNA collected for future needs. We can assist follow-up investigations of runaways or children missing that are in the foster care / adoption system. We can conduct follow-up investigations of facilities, providers and foster parents on an as needed basis or on a scheduled/random basis. We can and will tailor our investigation to meet the needs of agencies, foster homes and adoption clients.
